BAPS Chino Hills, CA

A place of love, peace, and harmony. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan, is a traditional Hindu mandir that was completed in 2012. It sits on a 20-acre site located in Chino Hills, California. It took approximately 900 volunteers and 1.3 million man hours to construct the mandir.

The architectural details are extremely intricate and exquisite! The exterior is made up of pink sandstone from Rajasthan, India, and white Italian marble from the quarries of Carrera, Italy for the interior. Each piece was hand picked and analyzed, then shipped to India where it was hand carved by skilled artisans and craftsmen. The pieces were carved, numbered, packed, and shipped to the US where they were put together like a puzzle here in Chino Hills, CA.
The complex is free to visit and has a cultural center, gymnasium, classrooms, visitor center, fountains, café, food mart, and an interactive exhibition that features the history, culture and wisdom of Hinduism and information on the construction of the Mandir.
Visiting BAPS is a great cultural experience and adventure!
