Embark on a New Cosmic Adventure When Thor: Love and Thunder Arrives on Digital September 8 and 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD September 27

I have to start by saying that I am not the biggest Marvel buff, but my husband and son are. I was not really sure what to expect given that I had not seen any Thor movies prior to this one. Well, to be fair, I tried watching the first one. Per usual, at that time in my life, I was trying to watch it while breast feeding my youngest son, folding clothes, and a million other things. Needless to say, I did not really remember the story line. Well, I am happy to report that they did a great job at making it so that you do not need to watch the previous movies in order to watch and enjoy this movie. The first thing that stood out to me was that it was totally funny! I was not expecting that at all. I was laughing so much and really enjoyed that aspect of it. Especially because it was like they were poking fun at themselves.

There was also a very deep and emotional side to this movie. Sort of a spoiler alert, but I think it must be mentioned that there is a character that is dealing with cancer throughout the movie. I love that they used their platform to open up dialogues about something that effects so many of us and our loved ones. Also, anytime that there is representation and diversity, it just makes my heart soar. I can not stop saying how much representation matters and I just know how much of an impact it has on children and the world to see heroes in every color.

This is definitely a must watch movie and I am happy to share the synopsis, bonus features, and a trailer below!

Thor: Love and Thunder will also stream on Disney+ September 8.

Film Synopsis

Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder finds the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – one of self-discovery. But his efforts are interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
